Kathy Winters
Watercolor Painter
I started painting in the early 1990's when my daughter said, "Mom, you can do this!" and lent me some brushes and paints. I took a few classes, and found a wonderful avocation.
I love the grayed colors of the Pacific Northwest: lots of soft blues and greens. The play of light and shadow makes the paintings come alive.
In April of 2009 a group of artists founded Alcove Art Gallery. My artwork is now displayed in this co-operative gallery, that is located at 328 Pioneer Street in downtown Ridgefield. Ridgefield has an active cluster of unique shops and is home to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Stop by and say 'hello' when you're in the area!
Please contact me if you'd like more information about my work, or are interested in having a commissioned painting done.
